Les Frères du Sacré Coeur

Les Frères du Sacré Cœur, Frère Georges (Armand Guillette) accompagné par Frère Yvan (Robert Lepage) furent autorisés d’ouvrir une école à Bellegarde dont Frère Georges serait le supérieur. Ils s’installaient à Bellegarde en 1953.
En 1961, sous la direction de Frère Yvan (supérieur depuis 1957), quatre frères prirent soin de 28 pensionnaires et de 90 élèves.

Les Frères firent une énorme influence dans le développement de plusieurs organisations comme l’Association franco-catholique des instituteurs, des sports, comme le hockey, et ils ont même dirigé des troupes de scouts.

En 1977, les Frères sont rappelés à Ottawa dû à un manque de personnel.

Brothers of the Sacred Heart, Brother Georges (Armand Guillette) accompanied by Brother Yvan (Robert Lepage) were authorized to open a school in Bellegarde under the direction of Brother Georges Armand. They arrived in Bellegarde in 1953.
In 1961, under the direction of Brother Yvan (director since 1957), four Brothers looked after 28 boarders and 90 students.

The Brothers were a great influence in the development of many organizations such as the AFCIS (Association for French-Catholic Instructors), sports such as hockey, and they even led Boy Scout troops when needed.
